Andre Iguodala Excited To Remain A Sixer

Published by techspotlight at 1:05 am under NBA, Philadelphia 76ers, Teams Edit This

Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager announced yesterday that the team resigned restricted free agent Andre Iguodala.  Andre at 6′6″ and 207 pounds was selected as the ninth overall pick by Philly in the 2004 NBA Draft.

With 4 professional seasons under his belt, Andre has averaged 14.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game.  His shooting percentage is 46.8% from the floor and 33.1% from beyond the arc.  Last year Iguodala had his career high averaging 19.9 points per game.  So far Iguodala’s greatest accomplishment was when he was named MVP in 2006 for the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge during All Star Weekend.

With Allen Iverson moving out of Philadelphia and signing with the Denver Nuggets a few years back, it has been the other AI, Andre Iguodala who is now the go to man.  I think Andre is just starting to become a marquee player, and it is well deserved.
