The Mavericks Re-Sign Devean George

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under Dallas Mavericks, NBA, Teams Edit This

The Dallas Mavericks surprisingly re-sign forward Devean George.  George caused a ruccus last season standing in the way of the Jason Kidd trade from the New Jersey Nets.  Dallas wanted to trade George along with other players around the time of the All-Star game, for the star point guard, to increase their chances in the Playoffs.

Devean George was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers into the NBA in 1999, 23rd overall pick.  George was part of the fantastic Laker team that won three Championship rings with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.  His nine year career averages are 5.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 39%.
