Will Kwame Brown Help The Pistons?

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under Detroit Pistons, NBA, Teams Edit This

Kwame Brown, the 6′ 11″ 270 pound center was signed for a 2 year deal by the Pistons back in the beginning of August.  Brown will be paid $4 million the first year and the option of staying for another year for $4 more million.

Kwame, now 26 years old was drafted right out of high school and was the first overall pick in 2003.  The Washington Wizards picked him up and this was the year Michael Jordan had come out of retirement yet again.  What was unreal at the time was MJ in crucial game times was stepping in front of Brown at the free throw line, to make sure the team would get the defensive rebounds.

Brown’s career averages are 7.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.  It is unknown if Brown will really have any impact on the help of the Pistons to regain another Championship.  Brown, who has been shuffled around the league and not respected as a top center will have his hands full in Detroit.
