Kobe Bryant Still Having Pinkie Problems

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under Los Angeles Lakers, NBA, Teams Edit This

The reigning MVP of last season Kobe Bryant announced that he will undergo surgery to repair ligament damage in his right pinkie finger.  Bryant suffered the injury in a game against the New Jersey Nets back in February of this year.  The recovery time for this type of injury is expected to be about 6 weeks.  The Los Angeles Lakers camp is very hopeful that he will be 100% at the start of the 2008-2009 NBA season that begins the end of October.

Kobe Bryant’s career statistical averages are 25.0 points per game, 45% field goal shooting, 34% three point percentage, 83% free throw percentage, 4.6 assists per game, 5.3 rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game.

With a fresh Bryant, Bynum, Gasol and Odom the Lakers have an excellent chance to get over that hump and win an NBA Championship this coming season.

If they are going to do that, they need to play better that last season’s playoffs.
