Doc Rivers Receives Contract Extension

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under Boston Celtics, NBA, Teams Edit This

Doc Rivers the coach that led the Boston Celtics to a NBA Championship has just received a 3 year contract extension estimated value worth $15 million dollars.  With four seasons as head coach for Boston under his belt, Rivers has a record of 168 wins to 160 losses.

The turnaround for the Celtics is partly contributed to Rivers who had an awful season the previous year.  Help of course was mainly due to the player trades for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.  The Celtics will have the same starting lineup returning this season.  The team did lose free agent James Posey but picked up a few draft choices.

With the stellar players on the Celtics, they have an excellent chance of repeating this year.  Hopefully everyone can stay healthy and fit, and we might just see them back in the NBA finals.
