Raef LaFrentz Needs Surgery

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under NBA, Portland Trail Blazers, Teams Edit This

The Portland Trail Blazers center, Raef LaFrentz is scheduled to undergo surgery this coming week.  He sustained an injury to his right shoulder in February of this year against the Seatlle SuperSonics.

LaFrentz was stated as saying:

I was really hoping to avoid surgery.  I was hopeful that an off-season regiment of physical therapy and treatment would heal the injury, but unfortunately it’s become clear now that I need to move forward with surgery.”

The 6′ 11″, 245 pound Raef LaFrentz has career averages of 46% field goal shooting, 36% three point percentage, 71% free throw shooting, 10.1 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game.

The timetable for his return is still unknown, but we can hope for a speedy recovery.
