Al Jefferson Suffers From Right Knee Injury

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under Minnesota Timberwolves, NBA, Teams Edit This

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced on Thursday that Al Jefferson has suffered a mild sprain of the MCL in his right knee.  Jefferson is expected to be sidelined 2-3 weeks, but is expected to be ready to play for the regular season opener at the end of October.

Al Jefferson the 6′10″ 265 pound forward had a very good first season with the Timberwolves averaging 21.0 points per game, 11.1 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks per game, all career highs for Al.  Jefferson has been in the NBA now for four years and his career averages are 13.4 points per game, 8.1 rebounds per game, 1.1 blocks per game and 0.9 assists per game.

Hopefully Al will recover from this mild injury and be able to practice before the regular season starts.  Minnesota will definitely need him healthy if they have any chance for a successful season.
