The 15 Year Veteran Sam Cassell Gets Re-Signed

Sam Cassell the three time winner of an NBA Championship ring, twice with the Houston Rockets and last season with the Boston Celtics, just got re-signed to the team for another year.  The gutsy move by the Celtic franchise bought Sam Cassell from the Los Angeles Clippers to the team halfway into the season.  The management was worried about having veteran players on the team to guide them in the Playoffs and Cassell brought experience and determination to the point guard position.

Sam the Florida State alumni has career averages of 45% field goal shooting, 33% three point shooting, 15.7 points per game, 6.0 assists per game and 1.0 steals per game.  Sam Cassell and Eddie House are the backup point guards to the up-and-coming Rajon Rondo who performed quite well all season and in the Playoffs.

The outspoken Cassell is sure to help out the impressive Boston Celtic team when they try to repeat this season.
