In a surprising turn of events, guard Ben Gordon re-signs with the Chicago Bulls with a one year contract deal.  During most of last season and in the recent summer months it was anticipated that Ben Gordon would be traded as he and the team were not happy.

Gordon who has been looking for a long term contract deal will receive approximately $6.4 million this season playing with the Bulls franchise.  Chicago has locked him in this year but as a restricted free agent he will be up to the offering table once again after this season plays out.

Ben has been the leading scorer for the Bulls the last 3 years and has expected a more lucrative deal to be offered to him.  It just hasn’t materialized and Gordon will once again have to prove his worthiness this season.
