Center Tyson Chandler Sprains His Ankle

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under NBA, New Orleans Hornets, Teams Edit This

The New Orleans tall 7′ 1″ center, Tyson Chandler, suffered a mild sprain to his right ankle in a pre-season game against the Golden State Warriors.  The injury occurred under the New Orleans basket after Chandler stepped into the lane to help defend a drive by C.J. Watson.  Chandler appeared to turn his ankle as he landed and immediately dropped to the floor, lying on his back until trainers helped him up and accompanied him to the locker room.  Tyson sat out the rest of the game, but returned to the bench to watch the second half and stood up many times without apparent pain.

Chandler was quoted as saying “I’m fine, I just stayed out as a precaution.”  New Orleans went on to win the game with a score of 106-103.  Tyson is a key component in the success of the Hornets franchise, and we can hope he will be fine once the regular season games start.
