More Bad Luck For Greg Oden

Published by techspotlight at 12:10 am under NBA, Portland Trail Blazers, Teams Edit This

The 7 foot center out of Ohio State has been plagued from playing due to injuries since entering the professional level NBA league.  Last season he missed the whole year due to surgery on his knee.  With high expectations coming back this year, his Rookie season once again, he sprained his right ankle the first game of the season.  After playing only 13 minutes, he is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks.

Oden’s first game in the NBA against the Lakers, he had 5 rebounds, 1 block and turned the ball over twice.  He shot the ball 4 times but didn’t capitalize on anyone of them, giving him a goose-egg in 13 minutes of playing time.

There are such high expectations on this 285 pounder after getting drafted as the first pick in the draft in 2006.  I  hope he can get healthy and into playing shape and show us his talents soon.  The Portland team is counting on him to take their game to the next level.
