Portland Eeks Out A Win In Miami’s House

The Trail Blazers stayed steady in their game against the Miami Heat, winning in an impressive fashion.  The rookie Rudy Fernandez scored 23 points on 7 for 11 shooting with 3 for 7 shooting in three point range coming off the bench.  Greg Oden appeared for 16 minutes in his second professional game of his career, scoring only 3 points and having 2 rebounds.  Oden still looks a little tight and unsure of himself, struggling with injuries and not enough game time.

Miami was down most of the game but started to make a come back late in the third.  They made it very interesting down the stretch of the game.  Dwyane Wade had an excellent game scoring 34 points and the rookie Michael Beasley helped out with 14 points.  Portland in the end finished strong with the final score being 104-96.
