Celtics Increase Streak To +16

In a fierce battle at Philips Arena, the rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks continued.  There were 10 lead changes and 7 ties, until Boston finally pulled ahead and won in a glorious fashion with a score of 88-85, taking their current winning streak to 16.  The Hawks ranked eighth last year in the Playoffs took the number one team, the Celtics, to 7 games before Boston finally disposed of them.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett both had 18 points and Ray Allen had 16 points on a poor shooting night, averaging just 33%.  It was still enough to take them to victory.  The team shot 44% as a whole and 81% in free throw percentage.  This game was a knock down fight that came down to the wire, where the Champions showed their poise and took away a W on the road.  The Celtics now move to an astonishing record of 24 wins and 2 losses.
