Birdman Flaps His Wings In A Cremation Game

On Friday night, the Denver Nuggets took it to the worst team in the East, the Washington Wizards.  It was a pure cremation game with no chance for the Wizards to even make a run.  After the first quarter, the rest of the ballgame was a double digit lead for the visiting Nuggets.  Chris “Birdman” Andersen excelled with energy and poise throwing down dunks and blocking multiple shots.  The game wasn’t even close and ended with a final score of 124-103.

The Nuggets team had 7 players in double figures which showed great distribution of the rock.  The top three scorers were Carmelo Anthony with 23 points, Dahntay Jones with 18 points and Chauncey Billups with 16 points.  Even Sonny Weems got to play in the fourth quarter during garbage time and put up 4 points in 7 minutes of playing time.  Denver is looking really good this year and they are hoping they can make it out of the first round of the Playoffs this season.
