Odom’s 28 And 17 Helps Lakers Pounce The Cavs
On Sunday afternoon, the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers at home hosted the Los Angeles Lakers with an ill Kobe Bryant. The Cavs were psyched before the game but faltered in the second half and lost to L.A. This makes the third time this season the Lakers have snapped streaks, two of Boston’s and now Cleveland’s. The final score was 101-91.
Picking up the slack for Kobe Bryant who had flu-like symptoms was Lamar Odom. He drove the ball with authority and cashed in with 28 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists. Pau Gasol had 18 points with 12 rebounds and Derek Fisher contributed 13 points to the tally. Now that Andrew Bynum is once again injured, the Lakers will have to play even harder, and they have proven that they will, especially considering their recent determination with the last few wins they have achieved.
