Lakers Hang On To Get A Win At The AT&T Center

The San Antonio Spurs hosted the Los Angeles Lakers in a game that ended up coming down to will.  Right out of the gate L.A. jumped all over the Spurs and held a pretty commanding lead up until the fourth quarter.  The defense of the Spurs kicked in and they got the game within 4 points, but from their on out, Kobe Bryant as usual took over and extended the lead out of the reach of the home town gang.  The Lakers got a nice victory with a final score of 102-95.

The top scorers for the Lakers were Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol both having 23 points.  All of the Laker starters were in double figures, playing a well rounded team game.  L.A. only committed 11 turnovers and forced 18 to account for some easy buckets.  The Lakers have the best record in the NBA this season and will presumably hold that stat through the rest of the year.
