The Champs Get Beat At Amway Arena

The Champion Boston Celtics went into the Orlando Magic’s house and gave them a run for their money.  Even though the Magic had a 16 point lead in the first half, the champs continued to fight and they had a chance to win the game with less than 2 seconds left, when Paul Pierce took a fade away 3 pointer for all the glory, but the shot was all air and the Magic even the season long series to 2 and 2.  The thrilling game was a joy to watch, and it ended with the final score being 84-82.

Leading the Magic was Dwight Howard who had 24 points and 21 monster rebounds.  Rashard Lewis also helped their cause knocking in 21 points on 6 for 10 field goal shooting.  The crowd of more than 17,000 fans were on their feet at the end of this great win.  The Magic improve their record to 53 wins and 18 losses on the year.

Three Superstars M.I.A. Leads To A Fun Game

The Miami Heat without D. Wade headed into the Boston Celtics house without K-G and Ray Allen.  This game was quite entertaining without the superstars playing as it showcased the talents of other players that are not seen to often.  The game still ended up coming down to the remaining star Paul Pierce who completely took over the game in the fourth quarter for the champs, and Boston came away with a victory in overtime with the final score being 112-108.

The leading scorers for the Celtics were Paul Pierce with 36 points, Rajon Rondo with 27 points, Eddie House with 16 points and Kendrick Perkins with 13 points.  Boston who now has the third best record in the NBA behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers improved their season long totals to 51 wins and 18 losses.

Celtics Destroy The Cavaliers In The Paint

The probable head-to-head matchup for the Eastern Conference Title will be the Cleveland Cavaliers verse the Boston Celtics.  They met up together on Friday night and the Celtics literally destroyed the Cavaliers in the paint.  The injury to Ben Wallace could even be more crucial than was initially thought, because the Cavaliers don’t have much interior defense to stop the big men in the center.  Boston got quite an easy victory with the final score ending at 105-94.

All the starters for Boston were in double figures except Rajon Rondo.  Paul Pierce led them in scoring putting up 29 points on 11 for 22 field goal shooting.  Leon Powe came up huge for the Celtics pounding the glass and contributing a total of 20 points on an impressive 9 for 11 shooting.  Boston improves their season long record to 49 wins and 14 losses.
