Larry Brown’s Bobcats Come Up Short

The Charlotte Bobcats came up just a little shy this year, but did better than was expected of them.  They had a long shot on making the Playoffs but lost to a poor Oklahoma City team and then to the Chicago Bulls.  In the game with the Bulls, it was a fight to the end, with runs going back and forth, but in the end it was Chicago who came away with a victory with the final score ending at 113-106.

The leading scorers for Chicago were Ben Gordon with 39 points, Derrick Rose with 22 points and John Salmons with 19 points.  The high man off the bench was Kirk Hinrich with 10 points on 4 for 5 field goal shooting.  The Bulls finally got up to 500% on the year.  The additions of Brad Miller and John Salmons really pumped up the team, and they managed to play some good ball down the stretch of the end of the season.

Up Tempo Play Serves The Bulls Well

The Philadelphia 76ers met up against the Chicago Bulls in which the game was well suited for an up tempo and quick to shoot style.  Both of these teams have the same abilities and are very equally matched.  They like getting out on the break and taking early shots, instead of playing half court ball.  On this day, the Bulls topped the 76ers and rallied in the second half for an easy win.  The final score ended at 113-99.

The top three scorers for Chicago were Ben Gordon with 24 points, Tyrus Thomas with 24 points and Derrick Rose with 16 points.  The high man off the bench was the newcomer Brad Miller, who contributed 15 points to the tally.  The team as a whole did not miss a single free throw, shooting 19 for 19 at 100%.  The Bulls now improve their season long record to 39 wins and 40 losses.

Bargnani’s Brilliance Helps Toronto Get A Win

The Chicago Bulls who are fighting to stay in the Playoff hunt got beat down in overtime against the Toronto Raptors.  The Bulls were playing from behind the majority of the game and even though they sent the game into OT, they just couldn’t beat the Raptors.  The 18,000+ fans in the stadium finally gets something to cheer about, as Toronto hasn’t lived up to their expectations this year.  The final score was 134-129.

The top three leading scorers for the Raptors were Chris Bosh with 31 points, Andrea Bargnani with 28 points and Jose Calderon with 22 points.  Toronto distributed the ball very well this game and shot an impressive 54% field goal shooting as a team.  The Raptors year long disappointing record improves to 28 wins and 45 losses.
