The Chicago Bulls Are Climbing Up The Ladder

The Miami Heat who won the first three meetings this year against the Chicago Bulls got struck down this time around.  The game was very competitive up until the third quarter where the Bulls grit and determination landed them a victory at home.  The final score was 106-87.  With the Pistons losing against the Lakers, the Bulls jumped up to the seventh seed in the East, percentage points ahead of them.

The leading scorers for Chicago were John Salmons with 27 points and Ben Gordon with 18 points.  The Bulls distributed the ball well playing an all around team game where all five of the starters ended up in double figures.  The high man off the bench was Brad Miller with 12 points.  The Bulls improve their year long record to 35 wins and 38 losses.

Number 7 And 8 Seed In The East Face Off

The visiting Detroit Pistons faced off against the number 8 seeded Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.  It wasn’t a very exciting game due to all of the star players out due to injuries.  It was pretty close throughout the night but the Bulls pulled ahead by double digits in the fourth quarter and never wavered from then on.  The final score was 99-91 with Chicago taking the win, and they are now only 1 game behind Detroit for the 7th seed spot.

The top three scorers for the Bulls were Kirk Hinrich with 24 points, Ben Gordon with 19 points and Tyrus Thomas with 18 points.  The level of team play exhibited by the Bulls was fantastic as all of the starters ended up in double figures.  The only other player that scored was Brad Miller who contributed 7 points off the bench.  Chicago improves their record on the season to 34 wins and 38 losses.

The Bulls Blow A Big Lead

The Chicago Bulls faced off against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers and completely folded in the second half.  After the Lakers produced a small run in the beginning of the game, the Bulls made a statement and dominated them the rest of the first half.  Coming out of the locker room in the second half the Bulls completely fell apart and the Lakers overcame a 16 point lead, mainly due to their stellar play of the second unit.  The game didn’t even end up close with a final score of 117-109.

The top three scorers for the Lakers were Kobe Bryant with 28 points, Pau Gasol with 23 points and Trevor Ariza with 18 points.  The high man off the bench was Jordan Farmar with 13 points on 5 for 10 field goal shooting.  This was the first game on the Lakers last road trip for the season and they have started it off well.  L.A. now improves their record to 55 wins and 14 losses on the year.
