Under Tiger Woods Watchful Eyes The Magic Pownce

Tiger Woods, one of the best golfers ever, appeared court-side in Florida when the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Orlando Magic.  All I can say is WOW, the Magic completely demolished the Cavaliers like no one before.  At one time in the fourth quarter, Orlando was up by more than 40 points.  The Magic have really buckled down on defense and their carefree style offense is refreshing to see.  This is only the second time of the year that the Cavs have lost 2 straight games.  The final score ended at 116-87.

The three leading scorers for the Magic were Rashard Lewis with 22 points, Dwight Howard with 20 points and Hedu Turkoglu with 13 points.  All of starters ended up having double figures in points.  The high scorers off the bench was shared between Anthony Johnson and Tony Battie who both had 10 points each.  Orlando is now tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Boston Celtics.  It looks like it will be a fight to the end to see who can maintain that position.

Agent Zero Leads The Wiz To Victory

Gilbert “Agent Zero” Arenas returned to the lineup for the Washington Wizards in only his second appearance on the year against one of their biggest rivals the Cleveland Cavaliers.  While Arenas is still very rusty, he helped guide his team to victory with 11 points, and he dished the ball quite well to his teammates with 10 assists.  The Cavaliers who haven’t lost many games this year, now drop even with the Lakers for the best record in the NBA.  The final score was 109-101.

The leading scorers for the Wizards were Caron Butler with 25 points, Antawn Jamison with 19 points and Darius Songalia with 17 points.  Washington has had such a disappointing year due to all of the injuries suffered from key players this season.  Hopefully they can finish the season out on a positive note and gear up for next year.

Lebron’s Cavs Abolish The Mavs

The Sunday early afternoon game between the visiting Dallas Mavericks verse the Cleveland Cavaliers turned out to be an utter blowout in a game where the Mavs were up by 15 points at one time, but the Cavs turned up the defense and put on an offensive clinic, winning the game with ease.  The Cavaliers are the first team this year in the NBA to hit the 60 win mark.  The final score was 102-74.

The leading scorers for Cleveland were Lebron James with 24 points, Mo Williams with 22 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas with 14 points.  The high man off the bench was Joe Smith with 12 points on 4 for 8 field goal shooting.  The Cavaliers sported their throwback jerseys this game and still maintain the best record in the league.
