The struggling Utah Jazz team on the road headed into the Denver Nuggets house and tried to snatch a win but came up short. The Nuggets are playing some top rate ball as of late and two bench players really showed their poise and athleticism. The first one being Chris “The Birdman” Andersen who put up career numbers by snuffing out 8 blocks. The second one being J.R. Smith who tied his career high with 8 three pointers in a single game. Smith had the shooters touch all night, and he also gave out 7 dishes to go along with his brilliant shooting performance. The final score ended at 114-104.
The top three scorers for the Nuggets were J.R. Smith with 28 points, Carmelo Anthony with 23 points and Chauncey Billups with 17 points. The Nuggets team defense has really improved and they showed it by holding the Jazz to an astounding low of only 36% field goal shooting. Denver is currently in second place and they want to hold that position so they can have home court advantage most of the way through the Playoffs.

Now that all of the players of the Utah Jazz are back from injuries, they are showing just how dominant they are taking their winning streak to +10 by defeating the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz got off to a rocky start in the first few quarters, but apparently at half time they had a pep talk and came out firing on all cylinders with a 17 to 0 run and never looked back from there. The Utah victory ended with a final score of 97-91.
The top 3 scorers for the Jazz were Deron Williams with 25 points, Ronnie Brewer with 16 points and Mehmet Okur with 12 points. Andrei Kirilenko and Paul Millsap both contributed 9 points each off the bench. Utah improved their record to 39 wins and 23 losses on the season.

In the late game on Thursday night the Portland Trail Blazers met up with the Nuggets. Denver seemed to have a grasp on the whole game even though they let Portland back in it many times, the Nuggets held their ground and came away with the win. The final score ended at 106-90.
Carmelo Anthony returned from his one game suspension due to not coming out of the game against the Indiana Pacers. George Karl, the Nuggets head coach was peeved that Mello basically ignored him and sent a statement to him by suspending him. Anthony ended up apologizing live on TNT during half time and all things should be copasetic now.
The top 3 scorers for the Nuggets were Carmelo Anthony with a huge 38 points, J.R. Smith with 17 points and Nene with 16 points. The high man off the bench was Linas Kleiza with 15 points. Denver improves their season long record to 40 wins and 22 losses.
