The Philadelphia 76ers met up against the Chicago Bulls in which the game was well suited for an up tempo and quick to shoot style. Both of these teams have the same abilities and are very equally matched. They like getting out on the break and taking early shots, instead of playing half court ball. On this day, the Bulls topped the 76ers and rallied in the second half for an easy win. The final score ended at 113-99.
The top three scorers for Chicago were Ben Gordon with 24 points, Tyrus Thomas with 24 points and Derrick Rose with 16 points. The high man off the bench was the newcomer Brad Miller, who contributed 15 points to the tally. The team as a whole did not miss a single free throw, shooting 19 for 19 at 100%. The Bulls now improve their season long record to 39 wins and 40 losses.

The Allen Iverson-less Detroit Pistons went into the Philadelphia 76ers house and could not hold their lead, where the Sixers trampled them down the stretch to come away with a win. The final score was 95-90. It was also announced that AI would not play any more games the rest of the season. With the Chicago Bulls beating the New Jersey Nets, this drops the Pistons to the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.
The top three scorers for the 76ers were Andre Iguodala with 31 points, Andre Miller with 21 points and Lou Williams with 15 points. Philly shot the ball ok at 48% and were even more impressive on the defensive end, holding Detroit to 38% field goal shooting. Overall so far, Philadelphia has had a great year especially since the injury to their key signing player, Mr. Elton Brand. The 76ers improve their record on the season to 40 wins and 35 losses.

Lebron and company win their 10th straight game in Philadelphia and go to an overall record of 19 wins and 3 losses. It was a back and forth battle the first half of the ballgame and then the Cavaliers came out in full force dominating the third quarter 36-19. The 76ers did make a little spark towards the end but really never had a chance. The final score was 101-93.
Lebron James posted 29 points and Mo Williams had 27 points. Even big Ben Wallace filled the stats sheet with 6 points on 3 for 6 shooting with 10 boards and 2 blocks. Off the bench, Anderson Varejao sunk 15 points to help the team get another victory.
On the downside Zydrunas Ilgauskas rolled his ankle in the beginning stages of the 4th quarter, not to return, and finished the game in the lockerroom. This alongside Daniel “Boobie” Gibson who has not played a few games due to an injured toe. Hopefully both injuries are minor and they will be back shortly. Cleveland is a team to be reckoned with and have a legitimate shot at going all the way this year.
