The Portland Trail Blazers came out really stale against the San Antonio Spurs, but the Blazers turned it on in the second half and overcame a 19 point deficit. Portland played extremely well pressure defense and was on a shooting extravaganza that the Spurs could not stop. The final score ended at 95-83. With this win by Portland, their is a 3 way tie for third place in the Western Conference, the Spurs, Blazers and Rockets sharing this spot currently.
The top scorers for the Blazers were Brandon Roy with 26 points, Lamarcus Aldridge with 20 points and Travis Outlaw with 12 points. The team as a whole shot 52% from the field and 84% from the free throw line. It will be really interesting to see how the West ends up, as teams 2 through 8 are very close. Portland will need home court advantage in the first round to have a chance at advancing. I for one hope they do because they have a young athletic team that are really fun to watch.

The Phoenix Suns needing all the wins they can get, to try and make it to the Playoffs, got totally crushed against the home team Portland Trail Blazers. It seemed somewhat competitive the first half, but then the Blazers completely dominated the Suns scoring at will and fighting on defense. The final score ended at 129-109.
The leading scorers for the Blazers were Lamarcus Aldridge with 29 points, Brandon Roy with 26 points, Rudy Fernandez with 23 points and Steve Blake with 14 points. Portland shot an impressive 60% field goal shooting as a team. The Trail Blazers are a team that could be deadly in the Playoffs as they have pure talent with high athleticism players. They improve their season long record to 45 wins and 27 losses.

The Portland Trail Blazers came into Lebron’s house and tried to stun the crowd at Quicken Loans Arena. The game was an up and down fiasco with 6 lead changes and 12 ties. The game came down to the wire when the Cavaliers were in possession of the ball with less than 10 seconds left, when Lebron went to the goal but laid the shot up short which meant the game would be won in overtime. The OT was completely dominated by “The King” scoring with ease and taking the win with a final score of 97-92.
The leading scorers for Cleveland was Lebron James with 26 points and “Big Z” with 21 points. Off the bench, both Joe Smith and Sasha Pavlovic contributed 12 points each. The Cavaliers maintained a very methodical play committing only 2 turnovers in 53 minutes of game time. Cleveland maintains the best record in the NBA this season so far and have still only lost 1 game at home all year.
